Little Heels Virtual Horse Show

A Virtual Horse Show for our Youngest Equestrians..Kids 12 and Under!

We are so happy to bring to you the Little Heels Horse Show! This show is open to all kids 12 and under across the USA! It aims to motivate, inspire and help kids have fun as they learn and grow in their journey under saddle. All disciplines are welcome and you film your classes at your barn.

Classes open on the first day of the month and close on the last day of the month. You can register at any time during the month and film and submit the class later…as long as it is before the closing date!

Every rider receives a premium ribbon for each class they enter. Our Little Heels rosettes are something they will be proud of and excited to display! In addition to the ribbon, entrants receive a judge’s comment card too!

Everyone wins a premium colorful Little Heels Horse Show rosette in every class they enter!

Class List and Patterns (New Classes will be added regularly!)

Classes ($7 per class plus one time fee of $6 shipping) – includes premium rosette ribbons, and comment card. 1 ribbon for every class entered: 4 classes = 4 ribbons:

101: Walk – With the assistance of a leader (or solo if the child is comfortable), walk along the rail for 20 seconds in each direction

102: Walk, Trot – With the assistance of a leader (or solo if the child is comfortable), start at the walk along the rail for 15 seconds, transition to trot and trot for 10 seconds, transition to walk 10 seconds and halt. 

201: Trail 1 (Mounted) With the assistance of a leader (or solo if the child is comfortable), entrant walks through an obstacle course using 3 simple obstacles of choice (example: walking over ground poles, walking over a tarp, weaving through cones, walking into a shoot and backing out, opening a gate) — video not to exceed 3 minutes.

202: Trail 1 (In-Hand) – With or without assistance, entrant leads pony through an obstacle course using 3 simple obstacles of choice (example: walking over ground poles, walking over a tarp, weaving through cones, walking into a shoot and backing out, opening a gate) video not to exceed 3 minutes.

203: Trail 2 (Mounted) – With the assistance of a leader, entrant walks through an obstacle course using 5 simple obstacles of choice (example: walking over ground poles, walking over a tarp, weaving through cones, walking into a shoot and backing out, opening a gate) — video not to exceed 4 minutes.

204: Trail 2 (In-Hand) – With or without assistance, entrant leads pony through an obstacle course using 5 simple obstacles of choice (example: walking over ground poles, walking over a tarp, weaving through cones, walking into a shoot and backing out, opening a gate) video not to exceed 3 minutes.

300: Bareback Walk Only – With the assistance of a leader (or solo if the child is comfortable), walk along the rail for 20 seconds in each direction

400: Pick Your Pattern: You can execute any pattern you like for this class! Dressage, equitation, showmanship, trail, anything goes! Just send us a copy of your pattern (it can be drawn out on paper and send us a screenshot) along with your entry!

Filming and Submitting Video

The Little Heels Horse Show is super convenient. You can enter classes using your cell phone’s video camera! Video must be shot horizontally and with audio turned on. The photographer should film from the center of the ring. The horse, rider and leader should be centered, in focus and visible for the entire time.

Two ways to submit your video entry (entries due on or before closing date):

Upload it to YouTube and email the link along with the class number and name of rider to: Visitfoxrunfarm@gmail.com

Or post the YouTube video link to our Facebook Group page (entry will be visible to all group members). Find that month’s class list photo and post the link to the video in the comments section of that post. Make sure to include class number and first name of rider and horse in the comment.

Official Rules

First, HAVE FUN! We want the show to nurture the joy children get being around and working with horses!

Attire – proper schooling or show attire welcome. You are welcome to dress as casual or as dressy as you like!

We strongly encourage all riders to wear a certified helmet.

All entries must be received on or before closing date of show, indicated on sign up form.

Any entries not received will not be judged and rider will not receive his/her ribbon for that class.

By entering, each participant who engages in an animal/equine activity expressly assumes the risks of engaging in and legal responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to person(s) or property resulting from the risk of animal/equine activities. Fox Run Farm is located in Georgia, but the Little Heels Virtual Horse Show is open to riders all over the USA. Under Georgia Law, an equine activity sponsor or professional is not liable for an injury or the death of a participant in an equine activity resulting from the inherent risk of equine activities pursuant to CHAPTER 12 or TITLE 4 of the OFFICIAL CODE GA ANNOTATED.

Exhibitors participate at their own risk, understanding the potential risks associated with all animals and equine activities. By entering exhibitors agree to release and hold harmless Fox Run Farm, its employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all liability(ies).  If participant is a minor, PARENT or GAURDIAN excecutes this agreement on behalf of himself/herself as well as the minor child or legal ward.

Fox Run Farm reserves the right to refuse any entry without explanation. 

Refund Policy- No refunds are allowed.

Any photograph of the participant via social media posts may be used for legitimate promotional purposes for the Hooves and Heels challenge including via social media and websites.
