WELCOME to the WINTER HOOVES AND HEELS CHALLENGE!
We want you to have fun with your horse and get your HOOVES AND HEELS moving! Fox Run Farm Events is excited to host the Hooves and Heels Online Challenge! We love taking part in other virtual horse shows and online horsemanship challenges, but after wanting to join more, we quickly discovered there are very few out there…so we created Hooves and Heels! This challenge provides another fun online event for the horse community to join, have fun, and earn a ribbon. All disciplines, ages and horse breeds from anywhere around the country are welcome to sign up! This is a great way to hold yourself accountable in reaching your goals, prepare for trail rides and upcoming shows!

ALL PAID PARTICIPANTS ARE ENTERED INTO A DRAWING FOR A HANDMADE RIBBON PILLOW! WE WILL DO THE GIVEAWAY ONCE WE SELL OUT OF ALL THE SPACES FOR THIS CHALLENGE! This pillow is made from the ribbons from our very first winter challenge 4 years ago! It’s very special.
We will do the drawing once we sell out!
For those who sign up for Chocolate and Roses Mini Challenge too you will be entered into a second drawing for this adorable handmade pillow from the Chocolate and Roses ribbon from the first year!
How It Works:
Equestrians have until MARCH 1st to complete and log 20 activities with their horse… anything from grooming, groundwork, riding, driving, cleaning tack, and even just hanging out with your horse for half an hour counts! (What doesn’t count is daily feeding and mucking)
Do you only do groundwork or in-hand activities? This challenge is open to you too! Just log your 20 activites and you will complete the challenge and receive your 24″ premium ribbon with bright sparkly snowflakes.
Also, we understand some riders/horses might not be able to perform certain tasks for various reasons (recovering from surgery, green horse, horse that can’t be ridden, etc) and that’s fine too! We want everyone to have fun and take part in the challenge safely. If you need more time to complete the challenge just let us know!
Riders log the 20 activities on an official print out sheet we provide in the information packet after signing up and making payment. Riders email a screen shot of the completed sheet by MARCH 1st to receive their beautiful 24″ WINTER ROSETTE RIBBON.

Hooves and Heels Challenge Rules *PLEASE READ:
First, have fun!
This challenge is open to anyone around the country.
Multiple horses can be part in one paid challenge but you will only receive one ribbon.
You can log up to two activities a day (example: grooming in the morning, trail ride in the afternoon)
The challenge is based on the honor system.
Exhibitors participate at their own risk, understanding the potential risks associated with all animals and equine activities. By entering, each participant who engages in an animal/equine activity expressly assumes the risks of engaging in and legal responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to person(s) or property resulting from the risk of animal/equine activities. Under Georgia Law, an equine activity sponsor or professional is not liable for an injury or the death of a participant in an equine activity resulting from the inherent risk of equine activities pursuant to CHAPTER 12 or TITLE 4 of the OFFICIAL CODE GA ANNOTATED. By entering exhibitors agree to release and hold harmless Fox Run Farm Events, its employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all liability(ies). If participant is a minor, PARENT or GAURDIAN excecutes this agreement on behalf of himself/herself as well as the minor child or legal ward.
Fox Run Farm Events reserves the right to refuse any entry without explanation.
Refund Policy- No refunds are allowed.
Damaged Ribbon: If a ribbon arrives to you damaged, take a photo of your ribbon and the envelope with the address and return addresss. Send the photos to us and we will file a claim with the PO and send you a replacement ribbon.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ENTER CORRECT ADDRESS WHEN YOU SIGN UP. WE ARE NOT HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR TYPOS AND WE SEND RIBBONS TO EXACT ADDRESS YOU PROVIDE. If your ribbon is sent to the wrong address because of a typo, you will be responsible to buy another ribbon at cost (if another one is available) and shipping for that ribbon. If an extra ribbon for that challenge isn’t available, we will ship you a ribbon from a previous challenge at no cost for ribbon, but you pay shipping.
If you do not let us know you need more time to complete the challenge, and you do not turn in your log sheet by the deadline, we will hold your ribbon for 6 months. After 6 months if we still do not receive your completed log sheet for that challenge, your ribbon will no longer be held and will be repurposed. No refund will be issued.
Any photograph of the participant via social media posts may be used for legitimate promotional purposes for the Hooves and Heels challenge including via social media and websites.
